Awana

Part of Childrens Ministries

Awana is a non-denominational ministry that assists churches in reaching children with the gospel of Jesus Christ and training them to serve Him.  Awana Clubs International supplies programs, materials and training for more than 12,000 churches in over 110 countries.

Here at First Baptist of Tempe, our Awana ministry works with other ministries to give our children a well-balanced emphasis on knowing God and His Word!

Groups

Cubbies (Ages 3-4, Co-Ed)

Cubbies is unique because it supports parents as the primary source of spiritual nurturing.

By working directly with their child on the weekly handbook lessons, parents become active participants in their child's spiritual development.

Sparks (Grades K - 2, Co-Ed)

The handbooks feature basic truths about God, Jesus Christ, salvation and the Bible.  Along the way, Sparky, the friendly firefly, encourages boys and girls to learn verses and complete assignements throughout the three handbooks.

A child will recite well over 150 unique verses, many of which cover salvation and key Christian Doctrine.

Truth and Training (Grades 3-4, Co-Ed)

Truth and Training reflects the passion of AWANA to teach 3rd through 4th grade boys and girls the truth of God's Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives.

Truth and Training (Grades 5-6, Co-Ed)

Truth and Training reflects the passion of AWANA to teach 5th and 6th grade girls and boys the truth of God's Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives.
